Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus in the Diocese of Sault Ste Marie is comprised of almost 5000 members belonging to 45 Councils and 14 Assemblies.

We are part of a world wide organization which has 1.7 million members in 12,767 Councils and 2599 Assemblies. There are 56,165 Knights in Ontario. Knights of Columbus are Catholic gentlemen committed to the exemplification of charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism and the defense of the priesthood. The order is consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary and is unequivocal in it's loyalty to the Pope, the Vicar of Christ on earth. It is firmly committed to the protection of human life, from conception to natural death, and to the preservation and defense of the family.

Last year the Knights worldwide donated more than $139 million and 64 million manhours to charity. The Knights of Ontario led the way in charitable giving with contributions of $3.6 million to church activities, $2.9 million to community, $1.2 million to youth and 2.7 million manhours in community service.
