Approximately 100 people attended the evening vigil at Our Lady of Hope Church in Sudbury on Monday, December 31st, in preparation for The Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God and World Day of Peace .

The evening began with the assembly praying the joyful mysteries of the Rosary, meditating on the events surrounding the birth of Our Lord. Father André Tremblay celebrated the holy sacrifice of the Mass, after which all present were invited to personally renew their commitment to the Lord. The music group, Salt of the Earth, led the congregation in songs of praise and worship throughout the evening.  Following a blessing by Father Tremblay and a heartfelt song of prayer for peace, which concluded the vigil, everyone was invited to a reception in the parish gathering space where best wishes for the new year were exchanged.
