A real pilgrimage of trust
Reflections from two pilgrims.
We, Anneke (20, German) and Wietske (23, Dutch) are travelling since the beginning of January through Quebec and Ontario to tell people about the community of Taize (France) and the upcoming Taize weekend from the 27th to the 29th of April which will be held in Montreal. Both of us have been in Taize since the summer to help the community of brothers with welcoming thousands of young people who come to Taize to spend there a week of prayer, reflection and meeting other Christians. The meeting in Montreal will be a part of the pilgrimage of trust that brother Roger started almost 30 years ago.
Our pilgrimage of trust has led us all the way up to Sudbury. What started of as big adventure became for both of us a real pilgrimage of trust. Trust in the people and in God. We arrive in each city we go to with not knowing where we will end up, who we will meet and who will take care of us.
Our pilgrimage has led us from Montreal to Kingston, Hamilton, Windsor, Niagara Falls, Waterloo, Kitchener, Toronto, North Bay and Sudbury and will continue to Sault Sainte Marie, Hearst, Kapuskasing, Cochrane, Timmins, Ryoun Noranda, Amos and then finally back to Montreal and then back to France.
