DeoHunt - How to play (and win)
Who can enter?
Anyone can play, but only those who aren't employed by the Diocese of
Sault Ste. Marie are eligible to win prizes. DeoHunt answers can be submitted
under two categories: General DeoHunter (anyone who has
access to the World Wide Web and wants to play for a chance at a great
prize); or Classroom DeoHunter (answers submitted as part of
a classroom activity).
How do I participate?
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to navigate your way around our Web system in search of answers to clues that we'll give you (only available beginning September 29th).
For General DeoHunters, be on the look out for extra bonus point clues
that could auto-magically appear in your email inbox. You'll
need to register to play the game in order to receive the extra bonus clues!
In the section, How do I submit my answers? will explain how you send your entry into us.
How do I get started?
You have to be registered to access the clues page on September 29th. Don't have a DeoWeb account? No problem. We don't charge membership fees. Just click on the 'join' link near the top of any page, or go directly to the registration page.
1. Login to your DeoWeb account.
2. Sign-up for the contest by clicking on the link: sign up now for DeoHunt . (If you've already registered for the contest, move onto the next step).
3. Click on The Clues link below. Follow the clues and record your answers.
4. Send your answers to deohunt@diocesessm.org.
That's it!
How do I submit my answers?
Send an email to deohunt@diocesessm.org with your answers. In front of each answer, type the question number so we know which question you are answering. Something like:
1. (your answer to question 1)
2. (your answer to question 2)
3. (your answer to question 3)
4. (your answer to question 4)
What can I win?
The successful General DeoHunter will receive a $50 gift certificate to shop at the Emmanuel Online Store. There's lots of cool stuff to choose from; everything from music CDs to great books!
The Classroom DeoHunter will win a pizza party for their whole class, hosted by Bishop Robert Harris, right in your classroom! Pep and cheese, anyone?
