Kathleen Niro is a mother of two children, a part-time daycare worker and a volunteer at her parish Our Lady of Hope, Sudbury.

During her years as a full-time mum she completed the Diploma in Ministry distant education program at St. Francis Xavier University.

Kathleen was involved in the merging of her parish in 2002 and she has helped develop, implement and teach sacramental programs, lead children's liturgies and teach regular Sunday children's liturgy. She organizes participants for special liturgies and is a funeral choir member. She supervised the N.E.T. team stay in 2005 and again in 2006.

The OLC summer school is Kathleen's second opportunity to help her diocese with excellent programming.
