An estimated 1000 young adults expected in Quebec City for the 2007 Youth Summit

Quebec City will host approximately 1000 Canadian and American young adults for the 2007 Youth Summit being held May 18-21. This gathering will spiritually prepare participants for the 49th International Eucharistic Congress also in Quebec City June 15-22, 2008. Participants of the 2007 Youth Summit will stay in university residences.

The 2007 Youth Summit program will consist mainly of catechesis, prayer, adoration, a public Eucharistic procession, a pilgrimage to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre and social and cultural activities. A public catholic rock concert is scheduled for the Saturday night. Artists include Critical Mass, Nancy Bodsworth, Chris Bray and Tuesday Bloom, among others.

The theme "I Do" will focus on the Eucharist, the Incarnation and marriage, and how it relates to daily life. Talks will be in both official languages with simultaneous translation into French and English.

The 2007 Youth Summit will allow young Catholics, 18-35 years old, to share their faith and develop friendships while preparing spiritually for June of 2008.
