World Youth Day - Sydney - We are witnesses...

As a part of World Youth Day, I am thrilled to let you all know that this pilgramige has expanded my faith and enlightened my view on life and the holy spririt.

Throughout our time in Australia it has been quite an adventure. From the time we landed in Melbourne, I have witnessed the beauty, energy and love this country has to offer us. By visiting the beautiful architechture of so many churchs and cathedrals and walking the streets of Melbourne, we've seen the spirit so many other countries have toward our faith. People are chanting, laughing and praising the Lord all over Melbourne, the city is alive! We were very fortunate to have stayed with host family's who welcomed us into their homes and treated us with sincere hospitality and love. We stayed in Melbourn, for four days, and on our last day we were priviledged to have a beautiful mass at St. Paul's church. This mass was not just any other mass you would attend on Sunday, but it consisted of many cultures ranging from Vietnamese, Samoan, Italian, Spanish, and Canadian . The people took advantage of using different languages and appreciating them through song, prayer, readings, and even dance. We had the chance to see how beautiful the Samoan dance and how they celebrate their faith. Let's just say the mass was inspiring.

Today, we arrived in Sydney and had the chance to relax a little and take in the beautiful scenery of Australia. We drove passed the Oprah House and even got to spend some time on the sandy beach. We roamed around Sydney, bought souvenirs, dined and got to see the spirit that was rising in this city as well. Everyday, I slowly witness how God is everywhere and can touch you in the smallest aspects of life. This experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am happy that I could share a small part of it with all of you today.

Until next time and thank you
