A word about this office
For the last four years, at the request of Bishop Plouffe, Father James Hutton has represented our Diocese (English Sector) at the annual meeting of the Ontario Catholic Conference for Ecumenism (a group under the auspices of the Ontario Conference of Catholic Bishops).
In that regard he has also, on the local level of Sudbury (as he did in Sault Ste. Marie), on his own initiative, participated in and promoted a variety of projects, activities, events, etc. concerned with Christian Unity, Religious Relations with the Jews and Inter-Faith Dialogue.
Bishop Plouffe has asked Father Hutton to continue on the local level to be involved in this regard. He will connect with the regions of North Bay and Sault Ste. Marie.
As occasions arise, he will forward information he feels may be of interest in promoting and supporting Christian Unity, Religious Relations with the Jews and Inter-Faith Dialogue via the DeoWeb.
