Ontario Catholic Association of Diaconate Leaders gather in Sudbury
Diaconate Leaders Meet

The Ontario Catholic Association of Diaconate Leaders (OCADL) gathered on June 6th to 8th, 2008 at the Villa Loyola in Sudbury for their annual Convocation.

OCADL is an association of Ontario deacons who have been specifically chosen by their (Arch)Bishops to provide liaison and support to the permanent deacons in their respective Diocese as well as to assist in planning and providing services for candidates in formation for the Permanent Diaconate.

The theme of this year's convocation was "Recognizing the Spiritual Gifts and Spiritual Gifts for the Diaconate Leaders". The sessions were facilitated by Reverend Mr. Armand Danis of the Diocese of Thunder Bay. Deacon Armand based his presentation, in part, on "The Catholic Spiritual Gifts Inventory" (3rd) written by S. Weddell.

His excellency Bishop Jean-Louis Plouffe joined the participants for dinner on Saturday. Following dinner, Bishop Plouffe addressed the delegates and then celebrated Mass with the group.
