His Excellency, the Most Reverend Jean-Louis Plouffe, Bishop of Sault Ste. Marie announces the following appointments for clergy in the Diocese:

Effective June 1, 2008

Reverend Vincenzo Fiore, who has recently completed the program of study in formation for priesthood at Saint Peter's Seminary in London (Ontario) and who was ordained on Friday, May 2, 2008, is appointed as assistant pastor (ad normam C.545) of Saint Stanislaus (Copper Cliff), Saint Pius X (Lively) and Saint Christopher (Whitefish), with residence in Copper Cliff.

Effective July 1, 2008

Reverend Denis Savignac, currently serving as pastor of Ste-Marguerite-d'Youville (Val Caron) is retired.

Reverend Jean Legault, currently serving as pastor of St-Dominique (Sudbury) is appointed as pastor (ad normam C.519) of Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire (Blezard Valley) and Ste-Marguerite-d'Youville (Val Caron) with residence in Blezard Valley.

Reverend Guy Albert, currently serving as pastor of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes (Alban), St-David (Noelville) and Corpus Christi (Dokis) is appointed pastor (ad normam C.519) of St-Dominique (Sudbury).

Effective August 1, 2008

Reverend Rhéal Perron, currently serving as pastor of Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire (Blezard Valley) is appointed pastor (ad normam, C.519) of Notre-Dame-de-la-Visitation (Lavigne) and St-Jean-Baptiste (Verner) with residence in Lavigne.

Reverend Remi Hebert, C.Ss.R., currently rector of the Redemptorist community in Saskatoon (SK), pastor of Saint Mary's parish (Saskatoon) and a member of the Redemptorist Provincial Council, is appointed pastor (ad normam, C.540) of Holy Redeemer (Sudbury) while remaining a member of the Redemptorist Provincial Council.

Reverend Boguslaw Jaroszek, currently pastor of Saint Casimir (Sudbury) and Saint Bonaventure (Killarney) is appointed pastor (ad normam, C.540) of Saint Andrew Bobola (Sault Ste. Marie) and Saint Joseph the Worker (Sault Ste. Marie) with residence at Saint Andrew Bobola.

Reverend Krystztof Niewinski, currently pastor of Saint Andrew Bobola (Sault Ste. Marie) and Saint Joseph the Worker (Sault Ste. Marie) is appointed pastor (ad normam, C.540) of Saint Casimir (Sudbury) and Saint Bonaventure (Killarney) with residence at Saint Casimir.

Reverend Thomas O'Rourke, C.Ss.R., currently pastor of Holy Redeemer (Sudbury) is appointed associate pastor of Saint Theresa (Saint John's, NF).

Reverend Anthony Bidgood, C.Ss.R., currently associate pastor of Holy Redeemer (Sudbury) is appointed associate pastor of Saint Mary (Saskatoon, SK).

Reverend David Louch, C.Ss.R., currently in residence at Holy Redeemer (Sudbury) is appointed pastor of Saint Mary (Saskatoon, SK).

Brother Francis Richards, C.Ss.R., currently in residence at Holy Redeemer (Sudbury) is assigned in residence at Saint Patrick (Toronto).
