Clarification about Mrs. Dory Tan

It has been brought to my attention that Mrs. Dory Tan, a visionary, has been inivited to the Grotto in Sudbury to participate in the Stations of the Cross on July 14, 2007 during which time she expects that the Virgin Mary will appear to her.

As Bishop, I must formally disassociate myself from this kind of affair which undermines the credibility of the Grotto project.

Response to July 10 Posted Notice

Your Excellency Bishop Jean-Louis Plouffe,

I respectfully acknowledge the July 10, 007 notice issued on the Diocese Website regarding Mrs. Dory Tan and I hope to provide some clarity on the intention of our visit to the Grotto site.

I will be joining Dory on this pilgrimage to Sudbury along with other members of the Ave Maria Padre Pio Prayer group. We are excited to pay homage to Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine and to reflect on the life and crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ. Many of us will be visiting Sudbury for the first time and are excited to pray in such a peaceful and tranquil setting. Furthermore, I wish to convey that Dory never knows if and when the Blessed Mother will appear to her and I affirm that in no way has she laid claim that she would see the Virgin Mary on this visit, although it could be a possibility. Please accept sincere apologies, if our visit has compromised your credibility or the Grotto Project as this was not the intention. Please know that we come to the Grotto in Sudbury with humility and prayerful intentions.

Respectfully,
M.Tesoro

Thank you.

Clarifications

I am not familiar with Dory Tan, and have no real interest in seeing her. The Church gave us the Bible, and the Magisterium to follow, that should be enough.

However, I am wondering why Dory Tan's visit requires a clarification but Andre Gagne of the U of S can state that Christs body was eaten by birds on the cross, the bones discarded, and denies the Bodily Resurection, but no Clarification was issued! Why!
