Content idea: Profiles and photos of your lay pastoral
leaders and teams
Adding information about your pastoral teams has several
benefits:
- Parishioners can recognize who these people are when they see them at church.
- Everyone gets to know a little bit more about the people who make church
life happen.
- Your hard-working lay pastoral staff and volunteers get some well-deserved recognition.
Here are some ways you can profile your pastoral teams:

Create a profile for each pastoral team leader
- Go to the pastoral service / sacrament the person leads and add a Lay
Person Profile.
- Enter in the person's name, photo and a short background profile.
- Publish the page and create a link to the profile page from the main page of the workspace.
- Go to the pastoral service / sacrament the person leads and add a Lay

- Add photos of the pastoral team to the main page of the workspace or add a photo album. You could have a group photo, and then individual photos of each person. Add in each person's name and their role. Be creative!
- Write up a news article profiling someone. Inform people in your parish what it means to serve in the parish from a personal perspective.

parish
In many parishes, there are people prayed for every week in the prayers of intention - people who need prayer due to illness or some other reason. Unfortunately, often in big parishes most parishion
Adding information about people in need of prayer has several
benefits:
- Everyone gets to know a little bit more about some of their fellow parishioners, which helps build community.
- Parishioners can recognize who these people are when they see them at church (if a photo is provided).
- The person's situation can be updated on the web site, keeping those praying for them informed.
- Parishioners can share their prayers, support for the person through the
site, which can be passed on to the person.
Here are some ways you can profile your pastoral teams:

Create a profile for each person. There are two ways to do this -
create a lay person profile or put the profile in a prayer request (see
below for setting up a prayer request). To create a lay person
profile:
- Click on 'manage content' and then go to the Parish section or an
appropriate pastoral service and add a Lay Person Profile.
- Enter in the person's name, photo (optional) and a short background profile.
- Publish the page and create a link to the profile page from the main
page of the web site or of the pastoral service.

- Create prayer request topics. Each parish web site has a prayer
request section. Add in a new prayer request for each person, which will in
turn inform others and invite them to respond with their prayers and

Content idea: WYD-relatd activities in your parish
Are some of your youth going to World Youth Days? There are lots of things
you can do to better inform parishioners about the youth going, what they did
there and their personal reflections:
- In the Youth workspace, add a subheading to the main page for WYD. Underneath the heading, put links
to all kinds of stuff, including:
- A profile of each person going - use the Lay Person Profile content type for this
- Links to the WYD site and diocesan WYD info
- Photos of fundraisers and other activities in one or more photo albums. add a news item to report on each event as it happens
- Articles written by the youth about their thoughts, expectations going to WYD and invite people to comment / show their support
- Links to the WYD site and diocesan WYD info
- Promote fundraisers by adding news and event items and publishing them to the diocesan newspaper.
- Add photos* of fundraisers and other activities in one or more photo
albums. Add a news item to report on each event as they happen.
- Publish articles written by the youth about their thoughts, expectations going to WYD and invite people to comment / show their support.
- When WYD is finished, follow up with some news written by the youth and include photos*.
* Remember to get signed waivers of all youth under the age of 18 before publishing any contact information or photographs of them on the web site.
